The Enchanted Witch: A Fairy Tale Novella

Fairy Tales are stories everyone has heard many times throughout their childhoods.

For me it was very important because it gave me a sense of escapism as well as something to look forward to every time I opened up another story by the Grimm Brothers or Hans Christian Andersen.

Which is how my novella The Enchanted Witch was born!

It's a story that was inspired by amazing Witch shows I've watched growing up: Sabrina The Teenage Witch (Melissa Joan Hart version), Charmed (90's version), Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Bewitched.

It's probably uncommon to see a male Witch as throughout Pop Culture men are seen as Warlocks rather than Witches, so that's why I decided to break the mold with my protagonist Jayson Santos. The Enchanted Witch who also happens to be Red Riding Hood!

This story takes place in the present (2021) and the past (1519) so there's two stories in one. Writing this way was important to me because it shows the readers how Jayson and his ex-husband Prince Nathaniel Echoes met and fell in love, plus it gives an amazing insight to the Enchanted Realm as well!

The synopsis:

For centuries, Mortals have been unaware of the existence of the Magic and Enchanted Realms. Sure, Mortals tell stories about a poisoned apple, a glass slipper, a sleeping princess and a mermaid longing for love; but they don't know the whole truth about these Realms.

Jayson Santos aka Red Riding Hood is an Enchanted Witch, a Being born from a Dark and Pure Witch. He left the Magic Realm in 1521 leaving behind his mentor named Agatha, the ghosts from his past and his failed marriage to Prince Nathaniel Echoes.

Moving to the Mortal Realm was the only option Jayson felt was necessary in order to start over, but now 500 years later, his life is about to take an unexpected turn.

When Agatha is murdered, Jayson is left to deal with the aftermath which includes a Demonic Assassin, a broken spell, the return of Prince Nathaniel and the conjuring of a witch eating Jester named Rowan No End.

It is up to Jayson and Nathaniel to forget the problems of their past and focus on the present or else there won't be a future for them.
